What is the Zürich Card?

In addition, this card includes unlimited access to second-class public transport within city limits for the entire duration of its validity. Unlimited Public Transport in Zurich
The Zürich Card allows for unrestricted travel for 24 or 72 hours on the city’s trains, trams, buses, boats, funiculars, and cable cars. This unlimited option remains valid throughout the card's activation period and includes transfers to and from Zurich Airport.
Be advised that the card is valid only for second-class travel and is restricted to specific city zones: 110, 111, 121, 140, 150, 154, and 155.
How Does It Operate?
The Zürich Card is entirely digital. After making your reservation, you will receive instructions to download the complimentary Zurich City Guide app for iOS or Android, which unlocks all the ticket and transport advantages offered via the card.
Upon installing the app, input your personal details, along with the date and time. Make sure to activate your card before using public transport or entering a museum or attraction.
The validity timer starts once you activate the card, so it is advisable not to activate it until you're ready to use it for the first time.
Children Under 6
Children under the age of 6 do not require a card when accompanied by an adult. However, please note that not all activities are free for young children; certain attractions may only provide discounts to adults.
Swiss Travel Pass
If you are considering traveling beyond Zurich to explore more of Switzerland, the Swiss Travel Pass is highly recommended. Once you've downloaded the app, simply enter your personal information, date, and time. Activate your card before using public transport or visiting a museum or monument.
The card's validity period begins from the moment it's activated. Therefore, we recommend not activating it until you need to use public transport or visit an attraction for the first time. Please remember that when using public transportation, your card must be activated to avoid fines.
You may only enter each attraction once.
Local holidays may affect the opening hours of some of the attractions included in the card. Closures due to holidays do not qualify for a partial or full refund of the card price, so we recommend checking the website of each museum or attraction before visiting.

- The Zürich Card is personal and cannot be transferred to another person.
- If a transit inspector asks you to show a valid ticket, you must present your Zürich Card in the Zurich City Guide app on your phone or as a PDF ticket.
