Join us at 10:30 am at Largo Dr. Elísio Sucena, where our journey through Águeda begins with scenic vistas of the serene river that flows through the city.
As we embark on our adventure, we will stroll through the charming streets of Águeda, uncovering fascinating insights about its historical background. You will learn about the Celts and Greeks dating back to the 4th century B.C., their connection to the Way of Saint James, and how this region influenced the events during the Napoleonic Wars.
During our exploration, you will have the chance to appreciate notable landmarks such as the Santa Eulalia Church, the São Pedro Chapel, and the Town Hall, among others. We will also uncover the significance of the picotas and their relevance to the local culture!
In addition, our walk will allow you to admire Águeda's stunning urban art! Be sure to have your cameras ready to capture these vibrant sights!
The tour will conclude back at the meeting point by 12 pm.

Important information
On the day of the activity, we'll meet at 10:30 am at the Águeda Tourist Office, located at the following address: Largo Dr. Elísio Sucena, 24, Águeda (Portugal). We recommend arriving 10 minutes early.
Important to note
The famous umbrellas of Águeda can only be seen from July to September and from December to January 6th.
