Our journey through Eze will commence at the fortified gate, a remarkable structure from the 14th century. Here, we take a moment to reflect on the Eze coat of arms, inscribed with the evocative phrase "Isis Moriendo Renascor," meaning "I was reborn when I died." We will explore the significant history behind this phrase as we step into the Old Town of this enchanting Provençal locale found within the Cote d'Azur.

After appreciating the impressive entrance, our path will lead us to Place du Planet, continuing onward to the Château des Riquiers. Within this area lies the Town Hall and a History Museum, where exhibits showcase a diverse array of tools, garments, arms, and archival materials, enriching the historical narrative of our visit.

Next, we will make our way to the Santa Cruz Chapel, established in the 12th century. Upon entering, we will be greeted by a stunning display of frescoes alongside captivating statues, highlighted by a 1515 altarpiece crafted by the artist Luis Brea.

Continuing along our path, we will arrive at the Exotic Garden of Eze, which boasts an impressive collection of over 400 varieties of plants and cacti. Scattered throughout the garden are statues of various goddesses by the esteemed sculptor Philippe Richard. From this exceptional viewpoint, we will take in breathtaking panoramic vistas of the Mediterranean Sea and the French Riviera.

Finally, after an insightful hour and a half of traversing the gardens and Eze, we will conclude our guided exploration with a visit to the neoclassical Notre-Dame de l'Assomption Church, a beautiful structure from the 18th century.
