Our adventure begins at 9 am at the Tourist Information Centre located in Alter do Chão. Here, we will board a vessel and set off towards Santarém, where you will witness the precise meeting point of the Amazon and Tapajós Rivers.

While cruising, we will glide past Lake Verde and through the enchanting Enchanted Forest, where you may opt for a 40-minute canoe excursion, as well as Piranha Lake—a friendly reminder to keep limbs inside the boat! To refresh, we’ll pause at Moça Beach for a selection of seasonal fruits. Energized, we will venture towards Crocodile Lake to observe local wildlife, including otters, alligators, and turtles.

Around 1 pm, we'll reach Ponta de Pedras for a sumptuous lunch featuring local fish, meats, and traditional sides. Following our meal, we’ll proceed to the stunning Tapari and Negro Lakes, hidden gems within the Amazon that belong to the Santarém region.

Next, get ready to arrive at the location where the Amazon and Tapajós converge. Here, you will have the chance to take a plunge into the waters and experience the contrasting temperatures of these two majestic rivers.

Keep your eyes peeled for the playful pink Amazon River dolphin, which might just make an appearance. After our swim, we’ll sail into Santarém, exploring its unique history on a 1-hour guided tour around this jewel of the Tapajós. Finally, we will head back to Alter do Chão, enjoying the picturesque sunset at Ponta do Cururu.

We anticipate returning to the meeting point by around 7 pm.

About the Boat
