Day Trip Overview

Your adventure begins with a pickup from your Aracaju hotel at the arranged time. We will then set off to explore the charming towns that line the Cangaço Route. Are you prepared to uncover one of the most picturesque regions in northeastern Brazil?

The journey commences with a four-hour boat trip along the São Francisco River. As we glide along the water, expect to be enveloped by vibrant greenery, where the rich forest hues complement the warm colors of the rocky riverbanks.

Our exploration leads us to the Cangaço Ecopark, a significant site associated with Lampião, Brazil's most renowned cangaceiro, and his legendary partner Maria Bonita, noted as the first woman to engage with these rebellious factions. Together, they have emerged as compelling symbols of resistance and folklore within Brazilian culture.

During your three to four hours at the ecopark, you'll have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the natural beauty and even take a refreshing dip in the São Francisco River. Additionally, a restaurant on site serves authentic Brazilian cuisine. We’ll also embark on a brief hike to the Grota de Angicos, the historic cave where Lampião met his demise.

Our return trip to Aracaju will take about four hours, with an expected arrival at your hotel between 12.5 and 13.5 hours post-departure.

Boat Trip Options

When reserving your spot, you have the choice of selecting a tour that includes or excludes the boat ride. If you opt for the tour without the boat ride, please be prepared to pay the boat fee in cash on the day of the excursion. The fees are set at 150 BRL for adults, 75 BRL for children aged 5 to 9, and children under 5 can join for free.
