Are you eager to explore one of the most ancient cities worldwide, Matera? We will gather at the Teatro Petruzzelli  in Bari to commence our journey to Matera. Ready to begin?

After a scenic drive of approximately 1 hour, we will reach Matera, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, once considered a forgotten place that has now transformed into one of Italy's premier travel destinations.

Our adventure will take us to the Amaro Lucano workshop, where the "Matera in Miniature" exhibition is displayed. This is an excellent chance to delve into the fascinating history of this town in the Basilicata region. Next, we will visit a cave house, one of Matera's signature attractions, renowned for its intricate cave city that has been sculpted into the rock.

To conclude our exploration, we will visit the local fruit and vegetable market, offering you the opportunity to taste the famous truffles and immerse yourself in the vibrant local gastronomy. Following this brief interlude, you will enjoy between 1 and 2 hours of leisure time to further explore Matera at your own pace before we head back.

Eventually, we will reconvene and make our way back to Bari, ensuring you are returned to the meeting point after a fulfilling 6-hour experience.
