Excursion Along the Franciscan Route to Naolinco

Your day begins with a pick-up from your hotel in Boca del Rio, scheduled between 8:00 am and 8:20 am. We will then embark on a scenic journey through the lush green vistas of the Sierra de Naolinco mountain range. Sit back and relax in the minibus while enjoying impressive panoramic views along the way.

During our trip, we will make several stops, including visits to the renowned Xalapa Fortress and the remains of a historic abandoned church.

Upon reaching the delightful village that shares its name with the Sierra de Naolinco, we will take a guided tour to admire essential sites, such as the San Mateo Apóstol church and the Casa de la Cultura.

A one-hour break follows, allowing you to savor local flavors at one of the traditional eateries in the village. Naolinco’s cuisine beautifully blends vibrant Mexican dishes with colonial influences.

Fully rejuvenated, our next stop is the Naolinco Market, famous for its exquisite leather crafts. Here, you can interact with local artisans as they showcase their craftsmanship, and you will have the opportunity to purchase unique keepsakes from your journey.

After our market exploration, we will make our way back to your hotel in Boca del Río, with an estimated arrival time around 6:00 pm.
