Embark on an exciting journey through the Peruvian jungle to uncover the stunning Gocta Waterfall during this day excursion from Chachapoyas. Additionally, a satisfying lunch is included in the experience!

Day Excursion to Gocta Waterfall

Following your hotel pickup at the scheduled time, we will depart from Chachapoyas and travel north towards the village of Cocachimba.

Upon our arrival in Cocachimba, we will embark on a scenic 2-hour trek, where you'll have the chance to admire the breathtaking flora and fauna of the Peruvian jungle.

Next, we will reach the Gocta Waterfall (locally referred to as "La Chorrera"), allowing you to stand in awe of this natural spectacle as the water cascades from a height of 771 meters! Interestingly, this marvel was only brought to light in 2002.

On our return journey to Cocachimba, tales of the myths associated with the waterfall will unfold, including stories of mermaids and snakes that are said to guard the area.

To conclude our adventure and replenish our energy, a meal will be served at a local eatery, featuring a starter, main dish, and a beverage. Finally, we will transport you back to your hotel in Chachapoyas, completing our trip approximately 9 hours after we first picked you up.
