Trip Description

Your journey begins with a pickup from your hotel in Cusco at the agreed time to set off on this trekking experience through the renowned mountain of the Seven Colors.

After a drive of one and a half hours, we will pause at a restaurant in Collca, where you can savor a delicious breakfast buffet to fuel your upcoming adventure. Once revitalized, we'll continue for another two hours, traversing the scenic valleys surrounding the Laguni Lagoon, en route to Layo, an ideal spot for capturing memorable photos.

Following a brief 15-minute drive from Layo, we will arrive at the commencement point for our ascent to the summit of Pallay Punchu, a trek that may last between 45 minutes and 2 hours. The name translates to "poncho of colors," reflecting its vivid hues that resemble the stripes of this iconic Peruvian attire.

As we make our way up, we will be greeted by stunning vistas of the Pallay Punchu, Pasñawarcuna, Apu Tagllo, and Condorsllana mountains. Upon reaching the pinnacle, known as Condor Sayana, situated at an impressive 4,850 meters (nearly 16,000 feet) above sea level, we will embrace the breathtaking landscapes of the Layo and Laguni districts, with their communities gracefully surrounding the picturesque lagoon and the Tres Cañones mountains of Suykutambo. Be sure to capture the spectacular scenery!

After appreciating Pallay Punchu, we will commence our return journey to Cusco. On the way back, a stop will be made in Collca for a delightful lunch buffet. We expect to arrive back in Cusco after this memorable 14-hour tour and bid farewell at Plaza Regocijo.
