Description

Uncover the mysteries hidden within the temple dedicated to Octavian Augustus, the first Roman Emperor, with the Augusteum ticket. Participants will gain insights into the emperor’s cult, the theatrical displays, and the intricate performances conducted by the priests of that era.

This ticket provides access to the complete complex, which features a courtyard with porticos and a central hall where the emperor's image was once displayed. Flanking this central area are two nymphaeums, believed to have housed fountains, alongside two worship-related rooms and separate shops adjacent to the main building.

As you navigate through the Augusteum Museum, you will encounter stunning ornamental displays crafted to reflect the opulence of the era. Highlights include pavements and walls adorned with exquisite marble sourced from the quarries of the Roman Empire, and a striking collection of terracotta antefixes.

Opening Hours

• 1st July to 15th September: Tuesday to Sunday from 10 am to 3 pm
• Remaining months: Saturdays and Sundays from 10 am to 3 pm

The last entry is allowed one hour prior to closing.

Reduced Fare

Discounted tickets are offered to children under 12, students up to 25, holders of a Youth Card, the unemployed, retirees, those with disabilities, families with multiple children, and groups consisting of 20 or more individuals. To qualify for the reduced rate, eligible persons must present relevant documentation.
