Build an Igloo

Experience the life of an Eskimo by crafting your very own Igloo amidst the stunning landscapes of Andorra. This activity is an ideal way to immerse yourself in the wonders of Escaldes.

Igloo Construction

The adventure begins at the El Cubil parking area located in the Grau Roig ski resort. Here, we will gather all essential materials and tools needed for this exciting igloo construction experience before venturing into the enchanting forests of the Moretó Valley.

During our journey, we will uncover the lifestyles of the Eskimos and the fascinating characteristics of these frosty shelters. We will then embark on the process of building a compacting or block igloo, tailored to that day's snow conditions. Prepare to be astonished by how these structures can provide warmth even in extreme temperatures of -40º.

The only tools required for this frosty endeavor are shovels and saws. Once our construction is complete, we'll step inside the igloo to experience the unique atmosphere within compared to the outside conditions.

After dedicating 1.5 hours to our igloo-building adventure, we will return to our starting point, concluding this remarkable experience.
