Tour Overview

Your journey begins with a convenient pick-up at your hotel. From this point, we will travel towards the Calderón Hondo volcano, or you may choose to meet us directly at the base of this majestic volcano in northern Fuerteventura, which stands at a height of 278 meters (912 feet).

Once everyone assembles, we will commence our remarkable hiking expedition up the Calderón Hondo volcano from its base. This 10-kilometer (6.2-mile) trek, lasting approximately 3 hours, will lead us to discover as many as seven points of lava emission. Throughout the journey, we will share interesting information about the unique volcanic features of Fuerteventura.

The reward for our efforts comes as we reach the summit, where the stunning crater of Calderón Hondo awaits. Here, we will take a moment to enjoy a light snack consisting of an energy bar, a piece of fruit, and mineral water.

As we savor our snack at the peak, we will be treated to breathtaking panoramic views of the Corralejo dunes. On a clear day, you may even catch a glimpse of the Lanzarote coastline.

After relishing the vistas, we will make our way back down to the base of the volcano, concluding this memorable hiking route. If you have selected the transfer service, we will take you back to your hotel, aiming to arrive approximately 5 hours after departure.
