At the scheduled time, you will be collected from your accommodation in Praia to begin this immersive exploration of Cape Verde's capital city.

Your adventure commences at the Doña María Pía Lighthouse, perched on the southernmost point of Santiago Island. Here, you will be treated to stunning vistas of the Atlantic Ocean. Following this, we will proceed to the Plateau area for a walking tour through the historic heart of Praia. As we traverse the Alexandre Albuquerque Square, you will encounter notable landmarks such as the Presidential Palace, the Church of Our Lady of Grace, and the Jaime Mota Barracks.

Adjacent to the square lies the Praia Municipal Market, a vibrant space bustling with a variety of fresh produce. Our next stop will be the Sucupira Market, where local artisans showcase their crafts. After our market visits, we will continue our drive to Cidade Velha, an ancient Portuguese settlement nestled along the remarkable southern coastline of Santiago Island.

The remains of Cidade Velha have earned the status of a World Heritage Site, recognized among the Seven Wonders of Portuguese Origin in the World. As we explore, you will be captivated by the remnants of the ancient cathedral and the robust structure of the Fuerte Real de São Filipe.

Your tour will also include visits to the Church of Our Lady of Rosário, the convent of São Francisco, and the historical Pelourinho, the site formerly used for the slave market.

After spending approximately four hours immersing yourself in Cape Verde's heritage, we will conclude the tour by returning you to your hotel in Praia.
