Essential Information

This experience caters exclusively to divers holding a certification that is valid and has been used within the last 12 months. If you are new to diving, we advise you to consider joining our scuba diving experience around Koh Tao.

Prior to your dive, please visit the diving center before 2 pm the day before the activity. You will need to present your official diver certification and complete a personal information form. Participation will not be allowed without this.

Sail Rock Scuba Diving Journey

The adventure will commence at the scheduled time from the diving center situated at Sairee Beach. After receiving key instructions from your English-speaking instructor, you will head towards Sail Rock, which is a prominent underwater feature in the Gulf of Thailand. This site, known for its strong currents, is regarded as one of the most stunning diving locales in Southeast Asia.

The journey will take about an hour and a half, during which complimentary drinks and snacks will be provided on the boat. Upon reaching Sail Rock, participants will be organized into two groups: one for those with Open Water Diver certifications (for dives up to 18 meters) and another for advanced divers qualified for dives up to 30 meters. Each group will engage in two dives.

Exploring the depths around Sail Rock, you can expect to encounter a rich variety of marine life: schools of colorful fish, barracudas measuring up to two meters, stunning coral formations, and the exciting possibility of seeing a whale shark. Despite being the largest fish species, it poses no threat to divers.

After completing your two dives, the return journey to Sairee Beach will occur approximately six hours after departure.

Additional Important Details

If you possess a diver certification but have not been diving in over a year, you can still participate, provided you enroll in a scuba refresher course. This course costs 700 Thai baht (approximately 19 EUR) and must be paid on the day of the activity.

Please note that this activity is subject to weather conditions, and the captain reserves the right to cancel the trip if navigating to the dive site could pose a risk due to sea conditions.

At the indicated time, we'll meet at the LBD - Scuba Diving Centre - Koh Tao - Thailand, located at the following address: Sairee Beach 17/18 Ko Tao, Koh Tao Surat Thani 84360, Thailand.

We recommend arriving 10-15 minutes in advance.

Important information

The day before the activity, you must go to LBD - Scuba Diving Centre - Koh Tao before 2 pm to show your official diver certificate and to fill out a form with your personal information. If you fail to do this, you cannot participate in the activity.
If you have a diver certification, but you haven’t divided in over a year, you can also book the advanced level option, but you must do a scuba refresher class. The price of this course, which you must pay apart on the day of the activity, is 700 Thai bahts (19EUR approximately).
This activity will depend on the weather conditions, the boat captain may cancel the departure if it's risky to navigate to the dive site due to the sea conditions.
