Tour Overview
The journey through the historic center of Úbeda invites you to connect with the city’s past and vibrant culture, acknowledged as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
With roots stretching back over two thousand years, Úbeda has been shaped by numerous civilizations that have traversed the Iberian Peninsula. It flourished during the Renaissance, a period of significant development. On our path through the medieval lanes of the old town, we will uncover the stories that define this remarkable city while appreciating the outstanding architectural heritage that endures within its confines.
This guided exploration allows us to appreciate the impressive Renaissance palaces and convents built in the 15th and 16th centuries, a time when the local nobility, such as Francisco de Los Cobos, secretary to Charles I, wielded considerable influence at court. Key highlights include the Chapel of the Savior, the Hospital de Los Honrados Viejos de El Salvador, the Oratory of San Juan de la Cruz, and the Palace of the Count of Guadiana, along with other notable edifices.
