Embark on an exciting adventure through Genoa and Portofino, where you will explore the vibrant capital of the Liguria region and the enchanting pearl of the Italian Riviera. This journey promises charming coastal streets lined with colourful buildings, inviting shops, and delightful eateries, all set against the backdrop of a bustling harbour.

We will convene at Piazza Caricamento at the scheduled time to kick off our Genoa tour. Prepare to delve into the highlights of the foremost city in Liguria!

Your journey begins at the port of Genoa, where a guided walking experience will take you through the historical warren of narrow streets in the old town. During this exploration, you will encounter some of the city’s most iconic landmarks, while uncovering its impressive maritime and commercial heritage.

After the guided portion, you will have some leisure time for lunch, followed by a scenic bus ride along the Gulf of Tigullio, frequently referred to as the Gulf of the Dolphins. You will learn the interesting reasons behind this nickname!

Our first stop will be in Santa Margherita Ligure, a charming fishing village, where we will board a boat to Portofino. This delightful coastal town has been a retreat for notable writers and poets throughout history, which adds to its allure.

In Portofino, get ready to immerse yourself in this storied locale, often referred to as the pearl of the Italian Riviera. Wander through its quaint streets filled with small shops offering unique souvenirs, and take in the stunning panoramic views of the Ligurian Sea along with the captivating atmosphere of the harbour.

After your exploration in Portofino, we will return to Santa Margherita Ligure by boat and then travel back to Genoa by bus.

After approximately 8 hours, we will arrive back at the original meeting point. We look forward to welcoming you again in the near future!
