Day Trip to Sesimbra

Are you ready for a memorable beach experience? Join us on this day excursion to Sesimbra  from Lisbon, where we'll explore a stunning and untouched cove, perfect for snorkeling in its clear waters.

Tour Overview

Our adventure begins at the agreed time, meeting in front of the Sunset Destination Hostel. Situated within the complex of the Cais do Sodre Railway Station in Lisbon, we'll board a comfortable minibus for our journey.

We will cross the Tagus River  via the iconic 25 de Abril Bridge. After this scenic crossing, we'll proceed toward the Arrábida Natural Park. This lovely landscape leads us to Sesimbra, a popular seaside town located on the Península de Setúbal.

Upon arrival in Sesimbra, our destination will be the Praia do Ribeiro do Cavalo. This exquisite beach, recognized as a World Heritage Site, offers you the chance to take a refreshing swim in the Atlantic and snorkel with gear provided. Relaxing under the sun at this dreamlike location is also an option.

After enjoying approximately 2 hours of leisure at this breathtaking beach, we will make our way back to Lisbon. Before arriving in the capital, we will pause briefly to take photos at the Sanctuary of Christ the King, where you can admire the Christ the Redeemer statue, reminiscent of the one in Rio de Janeiro.

From this significant monument, we'll once again traverse the Tagus River across the 25 de Abril Bridge, returning to our original meeting point in Lisbon, thus concluding our 5-hour day excursion.

Potential Modifications

Occasionally, access to the Sanctuary of Christ the King may be restricted due to capacity constraints. If this occurs, we will instead visit the Boca do Vento , a scenic viewpoint along the Tagus River near the Christ Redeemer.
