Would you like to see Liverpool from the water? On the selected day, you’ll need to board the boat that will take you on an unforgettable journey along the River Mersey. The best way to learn all about this British city!

For 50 minutes, you’ll sail peacefully along the waters of the Mersey and discover the history of the city as well as its musical culture. Proof of this is everything you’ll hear about one of the most legendary bands in history: The Beatles. What were their performances like on the Riverboat Shuffle during the 1960s? What influence did they have on Liverpool’s development?

From the boat, you’ll also admire some of Liverpool’s main attractions, such as its two cathedrals and the waterfront. If you wish, the boat has a bar on board where you can enjoy a drink during the cruise along the River Mersey.

The boat features a recording that narrates anecdotes and details about the monuments you’ll see from the water. At the end of the journey, the boat will return to the starting point.

Liverpool Sightseeing Bus

To complete your experience in the city of the Beatles, this activity includes a ticket for the City Explorer Liverpool bus.

This sightseeing bus follows a route with 14 stops, perfect for discovering Liverpool’s main attractions, such as Royal Albert Dock, The Cavern, or Chinatown.

You can use the bus ticket on the same day as the cruise or the following day. The ticket is valid for 24 hours, operates from 10 am-3 pm, and departs from the Royal Albert Dock pier.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

You will embark on a combined experience that includes both a river cruise and a city sightseeing bus tour. The cruise lasts 50 minutes, allowing you to take in the scenic views of Liverpool from the river, while the sightseeing bus provides you with an opportunity to hop on and off at various attractions across the city.

During the cruise, you will hear a narrative detailing the history and cultural significance of the landmarks you pass, particularly focusing on The Beatles. After the cruise, you can explore the city at your own pace using the bus service, which has 14 strategically placed stops.
