Dance Class Overview

At the agreed time, we will gather at Carrera 81 to kick off our Latin-style dance session in Medellín. Are you prepared to let the rhythm take over?

You will have the opportunity to select your preferred dance style, whether it be bachata, salsa, reggaeton, porro, cumbia, kizomba, afro, or zouk. Once a style is chosen, you will participate in a 1-hour class led by an instructor who will tailor the session to your individual pace and ability, ensuring effective learning.

Guided by the rhythmic counts of your selected genre, you’ll gradually begin to move your hips and feet, getting comfortable until the rhythm pulses through you.

In addition to mastering the dance steps, you will also explore the history of each dance style and understand the significance of its movements. This journey will reveal how music relates to the roots and traditions of diverse cultures from Africa and South America. It's bound to be an enriching experience filled with the enchanting rhythms that have crossed boundaries and persisted through generations.

At the conclusion of the class, after perfecting the dance you’ve learned, we’ll part ways, looking forward to our next encounter!
