Hiking Mount Vesuvius

Your journey begins with a timely pickup from your hotel, followed by a comfortable minibus ride to the Vesuvius National Park. Are you excited to embark on this thrilling hiking expedition?

We will undertake a 1-hour and 30-minute hike that will guide us to the breathtaking high-altitude landscapes of Vesuvius, climbing an elevation of 167 meters to reach the summit. The views awaiting us will undoubtedly justify the climb, as we will enjoy remarkable panoramic sights of Monte Somma.

During our ascent, we will observe the vast solidified lava flows that cascade down the volcano's slopes and witness the remarkable flora that thrives in this seemingly desolate environment. Did you know that Vesuvius is home to numerous vineyards? We will explore the significance of viticulture in this region, along with various intriguing insights.

Moreover, we will take time to reflect on one of the most tumultuous yet captivating events in Vesuvius' history: the cataclysmic eruption of 79 AD that buried the ancient city of Herculaneum and even Pompeii itself.

Our trail will guide us to the location known as 'La Capannuccia', where we will witness the volcanic cone releasing volcanic gases. From this vantage point, you will be able to take in splendid views of the Gulf of Naples. It promises to be a breathtaking sight.

Gradually, we will begin our descent and reunite with the minibus, which will transport us to a local venue for a tasting of regional products. This activity will conclude with your return to the hotel after a total duration of 3.5 hours.

This experience includes collection from Pompeii and Castellammare di Stabia.

• If you choose the Castellammare di Stabia option, pickup will be arranged from your accommodation at 1 pm.
• For those selecting the Pompeii option, we will collect you from your hotel at 1:15 pm.
