Cueva de la Plata Caving Trip

Experience the stunning beauty of stalactites and stalagmites up close on this caving adventure to the mesmerizing Cueva de la Plata, starting from Puerto de Mazarrón. This journey promises to be a remarkable highlight of your visit to Spain!

What can you expect during the exploration?

Beginning our day at 9:30 am, we will gather at the Alamillo gas station before proceeding to the entrance of the Cueva de la Plata. Upon arrival, you will be fitted with essential equipment, including a helmet.

Over the course of four hours, this enchanting cave will reveal its diverse chambers, showcasing the remarkable subterranean formations sculpted over millennia. Discover how water has shaped these features through its relentless flow, learning about the underground rivers and aquifers that give rise to the stalactites and stalagmites encountered along the way.

After navigating the intriguing limestone corridors, we will make our ascent back to the surface, marking the end of our adventure. We will return to the starting location, arriving around 1:30 pm.

Eligibility for participation

• Individuals aged over 50 are not permitted to join this caving expedition.
• Participation is also restricted for individuals with obesity or claustrophobia due to safety considerations linked to the cave's interior conditions.
