Before you immerse yourself in the chilling waters, you will partake in a quintessentially Finnish tradition: relish a private sauna experience.

The Finnish sauna is a wooden structure heated by a wood-burning stove, where temperatures can soar between 176–230 °F (80–110 °C). Saunas hold a vital place in Finnish life, deemed essential for both physical and mental well-being, with an average of one sauna per household across the nation. Engage in the complete sauna ceremony: bask in the warmth before diving into the frigid lake nearby, or perhaps rolling in the snow!

Essential Information

During the period from September to May, there is a possibility of witnessing the Aurora Borealis while enjoying your time in the frozen lake. Conversely, if you choose to partake in this activity during the summer months (May to October), you'll be treated to the spectacle of the midnight sun.
