Our journey will commence at the São Luís Cathedral, where we gather to embark on a guided tour of Maranhão's capital. Prepare for a path filled with captivating stories and intriguing facts!

To kick things off, we’ll delve into one of São Luís's standout landmarks, the Metropolitan Cathedral. Constructed in the 17th century, this architectural gem showcases significant Portuguese influence. Did you know it forms part of the Patriarchate of Lisbon? It is currently recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Following our insights into the cathedral’s historical significance, we will make our way to the nearby Praça Benedito Leite. As we stroll along Rua Portugal, be ready to admire the vibrant tiled façades that adorn the buildings. Our route will take us past Rua do Giz, which stretches through the city and features traditional balconies that add character to the streets.

Our exploration will continue with visits to charming spots like the Praça dos Poetas, a tribute to Maranhão's literary figures, and the Praça Dom Pedro II. We’ll also pause at the Palácio dos Leões, the seat of state governance, as well as the Ravardière Palace, which serves as the city’s administrative center.

Our visit will conclude at the Casa das Tulhas, a local market where we can gain insights into the region's artisanal crafts and products.
