Stargazing Hike at Ventana del Nublo

Upon arrival at the pre-arranged time, we'll gather at the Bailico recreational area. This location, set in the center of Gran Canaria, marks the beginning of a brief hike leading to Ventana del Nublo, a scenic icon of the island.

As we trek through the Gran Canaria mountains during twilight, we'll cover essential astronomy concepts and explore the connections between the Indigenous Peoples of the Canary Islands and the celestial realm.

At Ventana del Nublo, you'll be captivated by the stunning views of Roque Nublo, a symbol of the island. Witnessing this natural monument as dusk approaches is truly spectacular!

Next, we'll activate our flashlights and proceed to uncover multiple stargazing spots around Ventana del Nublo. Surrounded by the tranquil sounds of nature and gazing upward at the starry sky, we'll recognize some of the most well-known constellations.

A warm drink and a light snack will be provided as we relish the night, and after around three to four hours of exploration, we’ll conclude the adventure by returning to our initial meeting point.
