Day Trip Details

Having met your guide at the Sihlquai bus terminal parking lot in Zurich, we'll set off in the direction of Lucerne. Throughout the drive, you'll be captivated by the views of Switzerland's beautiful landscapes.

Upon arrival at our destination, we'll take a scenic bus tour and give you a brief introduction to the history of Lucerne's old town. Your multilingual guide will point out the city's most important attractions, like the City Hall, the beautiful Jesuit Church of Lucerne, the impressive Culture and Congress Centre, and the famous Chapel Bridge. This wooden walkway crossing over the River Reuss is filled with paintings dating back to the 17th century and is the oldest wooden bridge in Europe.

In Lucerne, you'll have approximately six hours of free time to explore Lucerne at your own pace. Visit monuments like the Altes Rathaus, the Renaissance style old town hall, or the Hofkirche, also known as the Church of St. Leodegar.

Then, we'll meet back up for the return journey to Zurich by bus, where we'll arrive back at the meeting point 9.5 hours later.

There are a wide range of ways you can spend your free time in the Swiss city:

• Enjoy a boat cruise on Lake Lucerne: many different boat trips are on offer in the city, allowing you to take in the views of this beautiful city and the Alpine landscapes that surround it from a new perspective.
