We will gather at your chosen time in front of the Memorial to the Dead in Bayonne, dedicated to commemorating the individuals who sacrificed their lives during World War I. Nestled adjacent to this poignant site, the Château Vieux awaits, a stronghold originating from Roman times that has borne witness to significant historical moments.

Following our introduction to these storied events, we'll proceed toward the Bayonne Cathedral. Here, we will take in the stunning Gothic design showcased on its impressive facade before making our way to Rue Port Neuf, affectionately dubbed "Chocolate Street". Our discussion will highlight the Sephardic Jewish community that brought cacao to Bayonne in the 18th century, enriching the local culture.

Next, we’ll visit the Bayonne Town Hall, a beautifully crafted neoclassical structure, and the Church of Saint André, a remarkable example of neogothic architecture. Just a short stroll away lies the Saint-Esprit Bridge, which offers picturesque views of the Adour River.

After soaking in the scenic surroundings, we will make our way to the Château-Neuf, where we’ll observe the exterior of this medieval fortress, which currently serves as a university.
