Day 1: Arrival in Beijing

After landing at Beijing airport, you will be greeted by a representative holding a sign with your name, who will escort you to your hotel for your three-night stay. Upon check-in, the remainder of the day is yours to relax and acclimatize.

Day 2: Exploring Beijing

Begin your day with breakfast at the hotel before we set off to discover the iconic sites of Beijing. Our first destination is Tiananmen Square, renowned as the world’s largest public square, often used for significant political gatherings. From here, we will proceed to the Forbidden City, which once served as the Imperial Palace for Chinese emperors until 1911.

After approximately an hour and a half for lunch at a traditional restaurant, we will wander through the historic Hutong neighborhoods of old Beijing and visit Jingshan Park, finishing with an experience at a Chinese Tea House.

The day's activities will conclude at 5:30 pm, allowing you time to return to the hotel and prepare for dinner while enjoying Beijing's nightlife.

Day 3: The Great Wall of China - Beijing

Your day starts with an 8:00 am pickup from your hotel, heading towards one of the most prominent landmarks of China, the Great Wall. We will visit the famous Mutianyu section via a cable car, providing stunning views of this UNESCO World Heritage site, recognized as one of the Seven Modern Wonders of the World.

At 12:30 pm, enjoy a meal at a local restaurant before we return to Beijing. En route, we will make stops at the National Stadium, also called the Bird's Nest, and the National Aquatics Centre, known as the Water Cube, both constructed for the 2008 Olympics. We will also visit the Pearl Museum before concluding our day at 5:30 pm.

Day 4: From Beijing to Shanghai

After breakfast, we will head to the Beijing train station to board a high-speed train to Shanghai, with a travel time of approximately five and a half hours. Upon arrival, your guide will be waiting at the station to take you to your hotel, where you can spend the remainder of the day at your leisure.

Day 5: Discovering Shanghai

We will gather at 9:00 am in the hotel before visiting Shanghai’s historic center. Here, you will admire the traditional Shikumen buildings, also known as Stone Houses, which showcase a blend of Western and Eastern architectural styles.

Following our stroll around the neighborhood, we will visit the Yu Garden, a classic Chinese garden from the Ming Dynasty, dating back to the 16th Century. Lunch will follow at a local restaurant.

After lunch, approximately at 1:30 pm, we will explore Shanghai’s Old Street, browsing quaint shops for souvenirs. We will also visit the Silk Museum before enjoying a pleasant walk along the Bund, a waterfront area offering breathtaking views of the Oriental Pearl Tower. You will have the opportunity to ascend the first and second spheres of this iconic tower, and finish your day at the Shanghai History Museum to delve into the city’s rich heritage.

The day will wrap up around 5:30 pm when you will be returned to your hotel.

Day 6: A Day in Zhujiajiao

After breakfast, we will head to Zhujiajiao, a picturesque Water Town where history and charm thrive. This area, characterized by its traditional houses that date back over 400 years, served as an important trade hub. You'll enjoy time to explore its inviting streets or embark on a leisurely boat tour through the canals.

During lunchtime, we will reconvene at a local restaurant before returning back to your hotel in Shanghai.

Day 7: Departure from Shanghai

The final day is yours to explore Shanghai at your own pace. Based on your flight schedule, we will meet to assist you with transportation to the airport, marking the conclusion of the tour.

Essential Information

To participate in this tour, ensure you have a flight arriving in Beijing and a flight departing from Shanghai. Your arrival should be on the day of the tour, while your departure is scheduled seven days later; for instance, arriving on a Monday means leaving the following Sunday.

Please note, during the high-speed train journey from Beijing to Shanghai, there will be no guide accompanying you. However, a representative will be waiting for you at your arrival in Shanghai.

Meals Included

Four lunch meals are included in this tour, with exceptions on the first, fourth, and last days. Dinner arrangements are left for you to decide.

All six nights of accommodation include breakfast each morning.

Traveling with Children?

For bookings that include a room with children, please be aware of the following:

• Children aged 6-11 will have their own bed.
• Children aged 2-5 must share a bed with an adult.
• Children under 2 years are also expected to share a bed with an adult companion.

If you wish for children under 5 to have separate beds, they will be charged at the rate of an older child (ages 6 to 11) with their own bed.
