Tour Details

We will meet at Piazza Cardinale Pacca, the starting point of our guided tour of Benevento. The tour will cover the city's most emblematic monuments.

Our first stop is the Arch of Trajan, built between 114 and 117 AD, commemorating the inauguration of the Via Trajan. We will admire its sculpted reliefs highlighting the achievements of Emperor Trajan.

Next, we proceed along Corso Garibaldi to the monumental church complex of St. Sophia. We will visit its church, a World Heritage Site, explore its cloister with ornate columns, and view the square with the bell tower.

Our final stop is the Rocca dei Rettori, also known as the Castle of Benevento or Manfredi, which has witnessed significant historical events in the city.
