Four Lagoons Experience

The adventure begins with a morning pickup from your accommodation in Cusco around 4 am, as we set off southward to explore these four remarkable lagoons, renowned for their stunning scenery in the Peruvian Andes.

Our journey includes a stop for breakfast in the charming Andean community of Cusipata, providing a local taste before we proceed to the Quehue district. Here, we will encounter the renowned Queshuachaca Bridge, a historical footbridge from the Incan era, constructed entirely of ichu, a type of grass. This UNESCO World Heritage Site undergoes an annual renewal ceremony that showcases ancient Inca traditions.

Next, we will arrive at the first lagoon, Lake Pomacanchi, celebrated as the largest of the four. It boasts a rich ecosystem filled with native flora and fauna, particularly an array of exotic birds drawn to its pristine waters. Shortly after, we will visit Acopia Lagoon, adjacent to the quaint village that shares its name. The tour continues with a stop at Lake Asnacocha, followed by a visit to Pampamarca Lagoon, where we can soak in the captivating natural vistas.

After this exploration, we will head back to Cusipata for a refreshing picnic lunch. Following our meal, we will return to Cusco, aiming to drop you off at your hotel by approximately 6 pm.
