Valle Rojo Quad Tour + Rainbow Mountain

Embark on an exhilarating quad bike adventure through Valle Rojo, where you will experience the breathtaking natural beauty of the Peruvian Andes coupled with an invigorating trek to the renowned Rainbow Mountain. This outing offers an ideal blend of excitement and the tranquility of nature.

Tour Overview

We will commence the journey by picking you up from your accommodation in Cusco at the scheduled time. A minibus will transport us southward for approximately 2 hours until we arrive in the district of Cusipata. Here, a delightful buffet breakfast awaits, featuring an assortment of bread, butter, jam, scrambled eggs, fruits, and beverages to energize you before the adventure begins!

Post-breakfast, our minibus will take us on another 1 hour and 20 minutes ride to the town of Laya, situated at an impressive altitude of 15,190 ft (4,630 m). At this point, you will receive your choice of a quad bike—either individual or double—along with safety gear, and an informative briefing pertaining to the operational guidelines for safe riding.

Our exploration of Valle Rojo will commence as we venture into the striking trails of this remarkable area, recognizable for its vibrant red earth. Over a span of 30 minutes, you will be captivated by the peaceful surroundings and breathtaking vistas of the Andes.

Following the quad tour, we will dismount our vehicles and transition to a 30-minute hike leading us to Vinicunca, widely referred to as Rainbow Mountain. Known for its colorful bands, this location is among the most photographed sites in Peru. Throughout the visit, we will delve into the origins of the unique mineral pigments that create this geological marvel.

After relishing the stunning scenery and capturing unforgettable photos, we will retrace our steps back to where we left our quads. Following this, we will board our minibus and return to Cusipata for a rejuvenating buffet lunch, which includes a variety of options such as fish, chicken, rice, potatoes, soups, creams, and salads.

At the end of this full-day experience, we will bring you back to Plaza del Regocijo in Cusco, conveniently located near the Plaza de Armas, wrapping up a memorable 14-hour adventure.

Pickup Details

The pickup service is available exclusively for hotels situated within the city center and neighborhoods such as San Blas, San Cristóbal, Santa Ana, Nueva Alta, and Nueva Baja. For those staying outside these specified locales, please meet us at the Plaza de Armas in Cusco.

Requirements for Participation

• No driving license is required to operate the quads since they are automatic.
• Participants must be at least 12 years old to drive, assuming parental or guardian consent.
• Each quad may accommodate two individuals (one driver and one passenger).
• A single quad is designated for one rider only.
• For a double quad booking, both passengers can alternate driving throughout the excursion. Only the details of the responsible party will be collected during the reservation.
• Pricing is based on the quad itself, not per individual.
