In this session dedicated to crafting authentic Genoese pesto, participants will delve into the creation of one of Italy's beloved sauces, all while situated in the stunning Palazzi dei Rolli, promising an unforgettable culinary journey.

Description

Gathering at the scheduled time, we will convene on the second floor of Palazzo Imperiale, situated at Piazza Campetto 8A. From this prime location in Genoa, we will meander toward the magnificent Palazzo dei Rolli, a site recognized as a World Heritage Site.

Our exploration will lead us through the main areas of the palace, after which we will engage in a hands-on workshop focused on making Genovian pesto, commonly referred to as pesto alla genovese. This classic recipe hails from the Liguria region and is a favored accompaniment for numerous dishes, including pasta, pizzas, and starters. It stands as one of the most popular sauces globally!

Throughout this workshop, an experienced chef will guide us in the craft of traditional Genoese pesto. We will discover each aspect of this sauce, from selecting the finest ingredients to expertly combining them into the perfect blend. Key ingredients such as basil, garlic, cheese, and pine nuts will take center stage in this process.

As the preparation concludes, we will savor the delicious pesto pasta accompanied by focaccia and enjoy a glass of Ligurian wine, a true delight!

After a delightful 3-hour session filled with culinary experiences, we will wrap up the workshop and bid farewell at the palace entrance, where participants will receive a certificate to commemorate their participation.
