Kandy Private Day Trip

Your adventure begins with a pickup from your accommodation in Kandy at 9 a.m. From there, you will travel in an air-conditioned vehicle to the renowned Royal Botanical Garden.

At the Royal Botanical Garden of Peradeniya, you will encounter a remarkable collection of over 4000 distinct plant species. Your guide will assist you in recognizing some of these exquisite varieties. This stunning garden showcases a plethora of colorful plants, along with endemic, epidemic, and herbal species, and numerous palm trees. Among your discoveries will be the largest species of bamboo in the world and an extensive range of orchids.

Next, the journey takes you to the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, a sanctuary that shelters between 70 and 80 elephants who have been orphaned or are in recovery from injuries. Here, you can observe the elephants as they enjoy their bath in the river, and witness the adorable sight of baby elephants being fed.

As the day winds down, we'll ascend to the Ambuluwawa Tower, set in a lush, biodiverse area. At the summit, you'll find a constructed viewpoint tower standing about 48 meters (157 feet) tall, which offers panoramic views of the surroundings.
