Santiago de Surco was formerly a rural community until it gained district status in 1929. Today, it is celebrated as a “garden district” thanks to its expansive green areas and residential communities. Interestingly, this neighbourhood is known for housing some of the most luxurious homes in Lima.

Continuing our journey, we will traverse the industrial landscape of the nearby Villa El Salvador area. Our destination will be the impressive Jockey Plaza Shopping Centre, the largest of its kind in the city.

You will have some time to explore the upscale shops before we immerse ourselves in an authentic experience by taking the Lima metro to the Estación de la Cultura.
