At 11 am, our team will meet you at your accommodation in Mérida to begin our journey to Progreso. Let’s get started!

After a scenic 40-minute drive, we will reach Progreso. Did you know that this charming town is officially known as Progreso de Castro, named in honor of the individual who first advocated for its port? While exploring the streets, we will delve into the town's origins, tracing its foundation back to the late 19th century and highlighting its significance in maritime trade.

We will meander along the vibrant boardwalk, discussing the current role of the city as a major hub for cargo and cruise liners, thanks to its impressive 4-mile (6-kilometer) long pier.

You will then have approximately 3 hours of leisure time to enjoy a refreshing swim in the crystal-clear waters while lounging on the pristine sandy beaches. It truly feels like paradise! Additionally, take this opportunity to savor local dishes at one of the eateries lining the boardwalk.

After 4 hours of exploration and leisure, we will return you to your hotel in Mérida.
