August 24, year 79 A.C.: the ground begins to tremble, the sky blackens and Vesuvius unleashes its wrath. Join us on a day trip to Pompeii from Naples to relive the history of Pompeii at its fascinating ruins.

Day Trip to Pompeii

We will depart from the center of Naples and travel by bus to the archaeological site of Pompeii. After approximately 40 minutes, we will arrive at the remains of the ancient Roman city. On August 24, 79 A.C., Vesuvius erupted, devastating Stabiae, Herculaneum, and Pompeii. We'll explore the city and see how ash preserved much of it.

The city was buried until the 18th century, rediscovered through excavations sponsored by King Carlos III of Spain. Our tour includes the forum, where Romans gathered, and public buildings such as the baths and lupanar, which features frescoes. In the theater, we will view remnants significant to the culture of that period.

Following a 2-hour tour, we will return to our pickup point in Naples, concluding the activity with a total duration of 3.5 to 4.5 hours.

• Train station in Napoli Centrale: recommended if arriving from other locations in Italy.
• Cruise Terminal in Naples Port: exclusively for cruise passengers.
