Day Trip Details

We will convene at the Oropesa del Mar Tourist Office at the scheduled time, where we will board a comfortable minibus for our journey to Morella, located approximately 71 miles (115 kilometres) away.

Morella has earned its reputation as one of the most picturesque towns in Spain. Our adventure begins as we pass through the majestic San Miguel Gate, leading us directly into the heart of the town's historic quarter.

Elegant mansions, stone arches, and cobblestone lanes characterize Morella, a town steeped in centuries of history. As we wander through its historic centre, we will discuss its medieval legacy, prominently showcased by its two-kilometre-long city walls, 10 impressive towers, and 7 grand gates. 

During midday, you will have the opportunity to enjoy your lunch and explore local delicacies. After replenishing your energy, we will visit an artisan honey shop in Morella, a treat for those with a penchant for sweet tastes!

The next highlight of our trip is the Morella Basilica, renowned as one of the most significant religious sites in the Levante region. The beautiful interior decorations are sure to captivate you!

We will also view the exterior of the Morella Castle and uncover the fascinating history surrounding this fortress. Following this, you will have one hour of free time to contemplate visiting the castle or to enjoy lunch and some shopping, as per your preference.

As our day comes to a close, we will board the minibus for our return journey to Oropesa del Mar, concluding a delightful 10-hour experience.
