During this boat excursion through the Parnaíba Delta, you will navigate its rivers, sandy dunes, and lush mangroves, while uncovering significant locations such as Bahía das Canárias and Bahía do Caju.
Activity Overview
At the pre-arranged time, we will collect you from your accommodation and proceed to the Parnaíba pier, marking the beginning of this remarkable day. Are you prepared to experience the Parnaíba Delta from the water? Let’s set sail!
Upon boarding the vessel, our adventure will commence through a breathtaking natural landscape. Along the journey, we will glide past the delta’s most renowned bays: Bahía das Canárias and Bahía do Caju. If fortune smiles upon us, we may catch a glimpse of the striking scarlet ibis soaring through the sky!
Our route will cover over 62 miles (100 kilometers). We will first encounter Morro Branco, celebrated for its captivating dunes and river beach. Following that, we will reach Ilha dos Poldros, an ideal spot to observe the convergence of the Parnaíba River and the Atlantic Ocean. After this awe-inspiring view, we will dock at Ilha das Canárias, allowing you some leisure time to savor lunch at one of the local restaurants.
After enjoying your meal, we’ll board the boat once again and continue our journey through the delta, delving into the longstanding local tradition of crab fishing. Furthermore, we will witness a variety of animal species and birds that thrive within the mangroves, offering you breathtaking sights along the way!
As we approach the finale of our boat ride, a stop at Morro do Meio will gift us with a spectacular panorama of the Bahía do Caju. Once back on board, we’ll relish the sunset and experience the Revoada dos Guarás, a captivating moment when hundreds of scarlet ibis gracefully land, creating a mesmerizing display!
Ultimately, we will return to the pier and conclude our journey with a drop-off at your hotel approximately 8.5 hours after departure.

Please note that this tour includes pickup at hotels in the center of Parnaíba. If you are staying more than 6.21 mi (10 km) from the city center, you will need to contact the local provider to request a different pickup.
