Day Trip Overview

Starting with a convenient pickup from your Porto de Galinhas hotel, we will travel north to Olinda, a city recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.

Our journey will take us on a stroll through the historic center, revealing the many delights of this colonial gem established in 1535. Wander through its charming streets adorned with baroque churches, colorful buildings, convents, and monasteries that will leave a lasting impression.

We will then ascend to Alto da Sé, the city's highest point, where we'll be rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views, showcasing notable landmarks such as the Sé and Misericórdia churches.

Leaving Olinda behind, we will continue our journey to Recife, the capital of Pernambuco. Known as the City of Waters, this 16th-century locale is defined by its rivers and proximity to the sea—are you excited to delve into its wonders?

Our adventure will commence with a guided exploration of Recife’s key attractions. We’ll meander through Arsenal, one of the Old Town's significant squares. Next, we will discover Rua dos Judeus, celebrated as one of the most picturesque streets in the world, observe the facade of the Kahal Zur Israel Synagogue, and visit the intriguing Embassy of the Giant Puppets.

As we make our way to Rio Branco Square, renowned as Marco Zero, we will discuss its historical significance as the city's founding site. Our route continues, appreciating the crafts featured at the House of Culture and learning about the city's development at the ruins of the Open-Air Museum.

In conclusion, our journey will lead us to Boa Viagem Beach. Here, you'll have the opportunity to take in the stunning bay views and, if desired, enjoy some leisure time to embark on a catamaran ride along the Capibaribe River—a waterway that has bestowed upon Recife the nickname of the Brazilian Venice.

After a fulfilling day of exploration, we will return you to your hotel, concluding our trip in approximately 7 hours.
