Your experience begins at 9 am, when we will collect you from your hotel to commence an enlightening day in Potosí, famously known as the Villa Imperial.

The tour will commence with an exploration of Potosí's historical prominence, rooted in its colonial era. We will delve into the Cerro Rico mines and visit the bustling mining market, where vast amounts of silver were extracted for the Spanish crown, establishing Potosí's wealth.

Even today, the extraction of minerals like tin and zinc continues in this area. Our itinerary includes entering these historic mines and encountering the legendary figure known as El Tío, a scarlet-hued devil believed to safeguard miners as they work.

Post-adventure, savor a traditional lunch featuring a starter, main course, and a drink, providing a taste of local culinary delights.

After lunch, our journey takes us to the National Mint of Bolivia. Originally proposed in the 16th century, this site was intended to mint silver coins from extracted resources. The building showcases remarkable colonial architecture and a stunning porticoed courtyard.

Next, we will wander through the old town, immersing ourselves in the viceroyalty period as we walk through historic streets and discuss key events that shaped the area. A visit to the San Francisco Church allows us to admire the sacred artworks it holds.

Concluding our tour, we will return you to your hotel by 5 pm.
