PADI Open Water Diving Course

Day 1: Theory and confined water practice

Your adventure begins at 8:30 am with a pickup service from your hotel in Punta Cana, leading you to the diving center. The first part of the day focuses on fundamental diving theories. You will learn about equipment assembly, underwater navigation, the utilization of oxygen tanks, how to clear your mask, and helpful underwater communication techniques.

Subsequently, we will take you to a designated confined water area to apply your newly acquired skills and gain confidence with the diving equipment.

Days 2 & 3: Dives in open water

During the following two days, there will be a total of four open water dives. Are you prepared to unveil the secrets of the Caribbean seabed? In this fresh setting, we will evaluate your ability to navigate with ease while wearing your wetsuit and applying the diving techniques you've mastered.

We will venture into the seabed off Punta Cana in pursuit of vibrant starfish, hawksbill sea turtles, seahorses, and diverse schools of tropical fish, along with large coral formations that will accompany us throughout the dives! Upon completion of the course, you will earn a PADI Open Water certificate, acknowledged globally as the pinnacle of scuba certification.

Duration

The course spans over three days, consisting of five and a half hours of instructive time each day. If you wish to extend, a four-day option is available, offering four hours of instruction daily.

Important Information

Post-dive, it is advisable to refrain from flying or ascending to high altitudes for at least 24 hours.

Pickup Information

• With hotel pickup: Upon booking, you will have the choice to include pickup from your hotel (available for accommodations in Punta Cana and Bávaro). Selecting this option means we will collect you on each activity day and return you afterward.
• Without hotel pickup: If opting for the course without pickup, we will convene at the following location: Grand Bay of the Sea, Cabeza de Toro Road, Punta Cana.
