Private 2-Day Tour of the Fergana Valley

Embark on an enriching 2-day private journey to explore the captivating Fergana Valley from Tashkent. Along the way, visit the fascinating cities of Kokand, Rishtan, and Margilan.

Activity Details

Day 1

The adventure commences with a 7 am pickup from your hotel in Tashkent, followed by a trip to the train station. From there, we board a train bound for Margilan, celebrated for its rich cultural heritage, prominently featuring the stunning Said Akhmad-Khoja Madrasah.

Our next destination is the Yodgorlik silk factory, where you will observe the intricate process of silk-making in the Fergana Valley. If your journey coincides with Thursday or Sunday, we will also visit the lively Kumtepa Bazaar, the largest market in the area.

After a day filled with discovery, we will proceed to the quaint town of Fergana for a tasty lunch, followed by an overnight stay in this charming locale.

Day 2

The second day begins with a refreshing breakfast, setting the tone for another memorable journey. Our first destination will be Rishtan, where we will visit a local pottery workshop and witness the exceptional skills of local craftsmen.

We will then travel to the lovely village of Ok Yer, where you will have the special chance to meet a Kyrgyz family renowned for their exquisite wool carpets.

As we continue our exploration, we will arrive in Kokand, the lively center of the Fergana Valley. Here, we will delve into its historical gems, starting with the impressive Khudovar-Khan palace, which highlights the city’s crucial role in Uzbekistan's trade history. The architectural beauty of the Jami Mosque and the Norbut-biv Madrasah will also be on our itinerary.

As our remarkable trip comes to an end, we will take a scenic train ride back to Tashkent, which lasts about five hours. You will return to your hotel by 9:30 pm.
