3-Day Tour of Zhangjiajie

Tour Details

Day 1

Welcome to Zhangjiajie! Upon your arrival, we will meet you at the airport or the train station and transport you to your hotel for the night. After settling in, you are free to unwind and prepare for an immersive experience in this remarkable city-prefecture located in the Hunan Province. We look forward to seeing you tomorrow!

Day 2

Our adventure begins with a delightful breakfast at the hotel before we set out to explore the stunning Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, one of China's most treasured natural wonders. If you are familiar with Avatar, you will surely recognize the surreal floating mountains of Pandora, which are inspired by this verdant area that spans 400 kilometers (248 miles) and has been designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Upon arrival, we will ascend the Bailong Elevator, renowned as the tallest outdoor lift globally, reaching a height of 326 meters (1069 feet). This unique experience leads us to the breathtaking viewpoint on Yuanjiajie Mountain, famously known as the “Avatar's Hallelujah Mountain” in the park’s northeast section.

As we take in the magnificent vistas that inspired James Cameron’s cinematic masterpiece, we will take a break for a delicious lunch featuring a traditional Chinese dish. After regaining our energy, we will continue our exploration with a bus ride to Helong Park.

Throughout the day, we will visit several of the park's 80 viewpoints, marveling at the majestic rock formations that rise dramatically from the canyon floors. After an enriching 8-hour journey, we’ll descend using the Tianzi Mountain cable car, bringing us back down to the base.

At the end of the day, we will return you to your accommodation for a restful evening.

Day 3

Following breakfast, we’ll re-enter the stunning Zhangjiajie National Forest Park for a second day of exploration, this time uncovering some of the park’s other must-see sites. Let’s embark on our adventure!

We'll board a cable car that will transport us to Yellowstone Village, where a guided tour awaits. This extraordinary site consists of a collection of houses set atop sandstone pillars scattered throughout the park, providing ample opportunities for breathtaking photos.

Afterward, we will have a one-hour break to grab some lunch, and once we recharge, we will embark on a scenic hiking trail along the Golden Whip Stream. This 7.5-kilometer (4.6-mile) trek leads us into a gorge characterized by towering sandstone cliffs, where we may need to cross the river several times. Along the way, we might be lucky enough to spot a monkey or two native to this stunning landscape.

As our journey concludes, we will transfer you to the airport or Zhangjiajie train station, where we will bid farewell around 5 pm. We hope to welcome you back in the future!

This experience includes 2 nights of accommodation with breakfast in a double room at one of the following three-star hotels: Zhangjiajie International, Zhuanjiacun Hotel, or similar options.

Please keep in mind that child discounts apply when children share a room with their parents or guardians. If a separate bed is desired for the children, the adult rate will be applicable.
