Äkäslompolo Ice Fishing

This excursion allows you to experience ice fishing just like the locals do on a serene lake in Äkäslompolo. You'll also get the chance to travel there via snowmobile!

Description

At the agreed time, we will meet at your accommodation in Äkäslompolo and proceed to our departure point. Here, we will board our snowmobiles and start our journey through the picturesque snow-covered forests until we reach the ideal location for ice fishing. This promises to be a genuine Lappish adventure!

Traveling along the trails of the snow-blanketed fields, you will have the opportunity to take in the stunning landscapes of Äkäslompolo. After an exhilarating ride on the snowmobiles, we will reach a frozen lake where we will prepare our fishing equipment.

Once we leave the snowmobiles, we will create a fishing hole in the ice and patiently wait for a fish to bite. Throughout this enjoyable experience, our guide will share numerous valuable tips and techniques – soon enough, you'll be ice fishing like an expert!

Following this enjoyable fishing session, we will return to the snowmobiles to retrace our route back to the starting point and then to your hotel, marking the conclusion of the activity after approximately 4 hours.

Requirements

To operate the snowmobile, it is essential to possess a valid driver's license, which you will need to present before beginning the activity.

While children under four years old are allowed to join this tour, it may not be the most suitable option for such young participants.
