La Calera Mountains Horseback Riding or Hiking Route

During the booking process, you can select from one of the following two experiences. Both options come with transportation from the Avenida Chile Shopping Mall in Bogotá, along with a professional guide and complimentary snacks.

Horse Riding Adventure (4 hours)

Upon arriving at the designated meeting point, we will embark on our journey to the La Calera area. After a brief five-minute walk, we'll reach the location where our horses await. Here, you'll have the opportunity to bond with your equine companion and familiarize yourself with the planned route. Once equipped with helmets, we will set off on our ride!

We will traverse gentle trails that lead us deeper into the rich greenery, allowing us to completely immerse ourselves in the natural surroundings. Before long, we'll arrive at open fields, where breathtaking panoramic views of the San Rafael reservoir and the charming town of La Calera await us.

Here, we will take a moment to enjoy a light snack featuring a traditional Colombian treat while surrounded by the tranquil beauty of the La Calera landscape. After our refreshing break, we will make our way back, returning the horses and concluding our adventure in Bogotá.

We’ll arrive in the city after approximately four hours, returning to our original meeting point.

Hiking Trail (5 hours)

If you prefer a more grounded experience, opt for the hiking route described earlier. This path offers a serene and low-difficulty hiking experience.

Like the horseback riding option, you will also enjoy a snack stop while taking in the stunning views of the San Rafael reservoir and La Calera. A unique aspect of this hiking trail is the opportunity to closely observe the region's diverse flora and fauna.
