Upon making your reservation, you can select from the following options:
Ferry + Historic Center Tour
At the designated time, we will embark from the Buenos Aires port on the Colonia Express ferry heading towards Colonia del Sacramento. Our arrival is expected after a journey of approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes.
After disembarking, a 1.5-hour guided walking tour of the historic center of Colonia del Sacramento awaits you, revealing the beauty of Uruguay's architectural heritage. We will dedicate an hour to explore the charming structures within the old quarter, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
As we admire the façades of historical buildings, you’ll observe the blend of Portuguese and Spanish colonial architectural styles, showcasing the city’s rich history. Highlights during our stroll will include the iconic lighthouse positioned near the Bastion de San Pedro, the Basilica of the Holy Sacrament, and the renowned cobblestone thoroughfare known as Calle de los Suspiros, or the "Street of Sighs".
Once the tour concludes, you’ll have leisure time to explore until it’s time to return to Buenos Aires on the ferry.

Ferry + Tour + Lunch
This tour encompasses everything mentioned in the previous option and additionally includes a complimentary urban bus pass in Colonia del Sacramento. A lunch at a local eatery is also part of this package (restaurant choice may vary based on availability or the season).
If lunch is provided at the El Refugio, the menu will consist of:
Main course, select from:
- Grilled chicken thigh served with a mixed salad
- Fried breaded chicken accompanied by fries
- Homemade pasta of the day paired with one of these sauces: filetto, bolognese, or cream of leek and mushroom
- Fresh fish of the day alongside mashed potatoes
- Beetroot burger complemented by a salad
- Grilled pork bondiola with mashed potatoes
Dessert: caramel cream or flan, subject to daily availability.
If the lunch is at the Finca del Sacramento, the menu will include:
Starter, choose from:
- Braised meat empanada
- Empanada with mozzarella, confit tomato, basil, and black olives
Main course, pick from:
- Chicken breast served with caponata and mashed potatoes
- Pork bondiola accompanied by sweet potato mash
- Fusilli sautéed with seasonal vegetables
- Fish of the day served with pumpkin mash
- Fried breaded beef with fries
Dessert, options include:
- Flan topped with dulce de leche
- Pancake with dulce de leche

Departure from Buenos Aires
This booking confirmation alone isn't valid for the trip. The local provider will email you a voucher that you'll need to present at check-in. You'll exchange this voucher for a ticket that'll grant you access to the transportation we'll be taking.
Important Info
You must be at the port of embarkation at least an hour and a half before the departure of the ship.
It's also mandatory to carry a valid passport or any other necessary documentation (depending on your nationality), as well as a reservation number.
You must be at the Madero Sur port terminal in Buenos Aires. You'll need to check in for boarding at the Colonia Express booth, located at the following address: Avenida Elvira Rawson de Dellepiane, 155.
Arrival in Colonia del Sacramento
If you have chosen the option with a tour of the historic center, once you dock at the port of Colonia del Sacramento, leave the customs area; you will find a Colonia Express counter on your left. Please go there, and one of the company’s employees will give you the necessary instructions.
If you've chosen the option with lunch, please note that the meal will take place at either El Refugio or Finca del Sacramento restaurant. The restaurant will be assigned on the day based on availability.
Departure from Colonia del Sacramento
You must be at the Colonia Express port terminal, located at the following address in Colonia del Sacramento: Muelle de Ultramar.
