Should your travels bring you to Dresden during the holiday season, visiting this Christmas market is essential! Gather with us at the Semperoper Opera House in Theaterplatz at the scheduled time to commence a delightful exploration through Dresden's festive heart.
Accompanied by our knowledgeable guide, you will enter the Striezelmarkt, an iconic Christmas market with a history spanning more than 600 years. Situated in the picturesque Altmarkt square, this market provides an authentic glimpse into German holiday traditions, adorned with glimmering lights, the inviting aroma of mulled wine, and the charm of local artisanship.
During our visit, you will come across wooden stalls brimming with delightful finds, ranging from intricately crafted ornaments from the Ore Mountains to Froebel stars and the renowned Stollen, the celebrated Christmas cake of Dresden.
You can sip on a glass of mulled wine while enjoying the festive ambiance enriched by live music and carolers, crafting a truly magical experience!
The market offers numerous attractions for children, featuring a historic carousel, hands-on craft sessions, and even a special appearance by Father Christmas! Don’t miss the illumination of the giant Christmas tree—a remarkable highlight of this festive celebration.
