Description
Experience the breathtaking End of the World Viewpoint and delve into the stunning Alhama and Fardes valleys on our Jeep Tour through the Granada Geopark. This adventure also includes visits to historical forts such as Covarrones and Tía Micaela, along with several hours spent in the picturesque landscapes surrounding Guadix.
Granada Geopark Off-Roading Adventure
The journey commences at the Plaza de la Constitución in Guadix, where our jeeps will be ready for departure. After boarding, we will embark on an exploration of the unique mountain terrains and rock formations located within the Granada Geopark and the stunning Alhama and Fardes valleys.
Before departing from Guadix, we will make a brief stop in the cave district to observe the distinctive homes intricately carved into the clay hills.
Following this, we'll return to our jeep and proceed to Purullena to reach the remarkable End of the World Viewpoint. This lookout, situated atop a plateau within the Alhama River Valley, provides mesmerizing vistas of the Sierra Nevada and the unique badlands of the Guadix area. While enjoying the panorama, we will share insights about the transformations this site has undergone throughout history.
Our adventurous ride through the Granada Geopark will further take us to the Marchal Ravine, a stunning natural feature boasting unusual rock formations shaped by the forces of wind and water.
One of the significant highlights will be our visit to the Covarrones and Tía Micaela Visitor Center. This location served as a refuge for the Amazigh people during the medieval era. We will delve into its captivating history as we navigate through the various areas of the cave.
As we make our way back to Guadix, we'll continue to soak in the striking views of the Fardes River Valley.
The tour wraps up at our initial meeting point, concluding an enriching four-hour experience.
