At the scheduled time, we will convene at the gift shop of Westminster Abbey. After assembling, a brief introduction will set the stage as we proceed towards the Palace of Westminster, commonly referred to as the Houses of Parliament. Prepare to delve into the significance of one of London's most iconic sites.
Upon arrival at the entrance, a guide will provide you with an audio guide to facilitate your exploration of this Victorian Gothic structure, which houses the two chambers of the British Parliament: the House of Lords and the House of Commons. The complex, featuring the Victoria Tower and the Elizabeth Tower, is recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Originally built in the 11th century as a royal residence on the northern banks of the River Thames, this historic structure has been central to numerous pivotal events, including the devastating fire in 1834 that left only the Jewel Tower, the Undercroft Chapel, the Cloisters, the Chapter House of St Stephen's, and Westminster Hall intact, along with various political upheavals and intense discussions.
An additional highlight of this site is the Queen Elizabeth Tower, which houses the iconic Big Ben. With the assistance of the audio guide, you'll uncover the stories behind this legendary clock, certainly recognized as the emblem of London.

Important information
We'll meet at the scheduled time, in front of the Westminster Abbey Shop, located at 20 Dean's Yard, London SW1P 3JS. Please arrive at the meeting point at least 15 minutes in advance.
Please keep in mind that the guide will be waiting in front of the shop; therefore, do not go looking for them inside the shop. To enter the Parliament, you must meet your guide, who will give you your tickets.
Additional Info
The starting time is not the time of entering the Parliament. The activity begins at 11:30 am with check-in and instructions from the guide about the exterior of the building, its history and other general information. However, it's not until 12 - 12:15 pm that you'll enter the Parliament with your audio guide. Once you have taken the official tour, you can stay longer to explore the building.
