Join us on an adventurous journey to Maicá Lake, departing from Alter do Chão, where you will experience the stunning natural landscape of the Pará region in Brazil.

For those interested in witnessing a fish hatchery in its natural environment, our excursion begins at 9 am at the Tourist Information Centre located in Alter do Chão. Near the center, we will board our vessel, initiating our journey to the enchanting Maicá Lake.

As we navigate the serene Tapajós River, our route will take us past several picturesque locations, including Piranhas Lake, Ponta do Cururu, Moça Beach, Crocodile Lake, and Ponta de Pedras. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to cool off with a swim. Subsequently, we will visit Lake Tapari and Lake Negro, with planned stops allowing for stunning photo opportunities of the Amazon's breathtaking scenery.

At approximately 1 pm, we will take a break at the Casa do Saulo restaurant to enjoy a traditional meal. After lunch, we will proceed to the confluence of the Tapajós and Amazon Rivers, a prime location for observing the indigenous pink Amazon river dolphins.

Continuing our exploration, we will soon arrive at the captivating Maicá Lake. As we glide through its waters, keep a keen eye out for monkeys, sloths, iguanas, an array of tropical fish, alligators, and the vibrant greenery that beautifully encircles the lake.

As the day draws to a close, we will begin our return journey to Alter do Chão, where you can enjoy a breathtaking sunset. You will be back at the meeting point by around 7 pm.

Your excursion will be aboard a spacious boat that features four distinct zones. Onboard amenities include gear for kayaking and paddle surfing, as well as options for barbecue and music to enhance your experience.
