Your journey begins with a pickup from your hotel in Durango as we set our course toward Nombre de Díos. This pueblo mágico (magic town) is home to some of the most stunning vistas in the region.

Our first destination is the El Saltito Waterfalls, where you can marvel at the impressive 66-foot (20-metre) falls that pour down from the Mezquital River. Next, we will visit the Berros Springs, featuring natural pools fed by the Acaponeta River. Here, you will have the opportunity to enjoy a refreshing swim!

Continuing our adventure, we will explore the quaint village of La Constancia, where the Las Compuertas stream meanders through an area rich with fig, peach, and apricot trees. Our next stop is the El Malpaís mezcalería, where you can sample some local mezcal. Fans of Westerns will appreciate our following visit to a film set from A Man Called Horse.

Upon reaching Nombre de Díos, originally established by the Spanish in 1563, we will wander through its charming cobbled streets, taking in historic landmarks such as the ex-convent of San Francisco. We will also venture to the town’s outskirts to witness El Cuevón, a breathtaking landscape that serves as a habitat for golden eagles.

To conclude our day, we will return to Durango, where you can expect to be dropped off at your hotel approximately 6.5 hours later.
